The Upland Huntress - Brainerd Lakes Area Photographer
"She's like an onion, you have to peel her back one layer at a time." I'm sure you've heard this phrase used to describe someone in your life at one time or another. I recently had a gal in the studio that truly embodies that statement. I've known Kelli for several years now - in fact, we work together in our day jobs. But I am constantly amazed at her many different talents, i.e. "layers". She's an accomplished violinist, loves to hunt and fish, and has even gotten into the sport of drag racing in the past couple of years. Yes, I knew she was into the violin - I actually photographed her and her violin a couple of years ago - and that she loved the great outdoors, but I didn't fully realize the level of passion she has for all of those things. She also happens to be one of the most positive people I know!
She grew up hunting and fishing in the Brainerd Lakes Area, and recently launched her own Facebook page - The Upland Huntress - you can find her at www.facebook.com/uplandhuntress. Here, she shares her love of all things outdoors, including tips and insights from her hunting and fishing trips, and is quick to encourage and lift up others who share a similar passion. It is clear that she loves her family dearly, and got her intense love of nature from many outdoor adventures with her Dad. If you're interested in hunting and fishing, or just want to support such a positive person doing what she loves, please take a minute to check out her page and show her some love.
I'm sure there are more layers to Kelli that I haven't discovered yet, but am grateful to have had the opportunity to capture her spirit and passion through the lens of my camera.
Follow your passion, and make it a great week!
